NCSU Dance -- Audition Information

Interested in becoming a member of the
NC State Dance Team?

Below you will find out everything you need to know about the audition process and what it takes to be on the NC State Dance Team. Being a member of the NC State Dance Team is a wonderful experience, but requires both time and financial commitments so it is important that each candidate is aware of the requirements before making the decision to try out for the team.

Spring Audition Information

Pre-Audition Clinic (Optional)
Friday April 23rd 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Carmichael Gym – Aerobics Studio
Clinic Fee - $5.00

The pre-audition clinic is optional and open to current high school Juniors and Seniors, as well as students currently enrolled at NC State.
During the clinic you will:

• Get Audition tips: hair, make-up, what to wear, etc.
• Work Jazz technique
• Work Pom technique
• Work Hip Hop technique
• Receive immediate feedback and critique from coaches and former NC State Dancers

Spring Audition Dates

Day One: Saturday, April 24th 11:30am - 3:00pm
Carmichael Gym – Courts 10 & 11

***Registration begins @ 11:00am outside of courts 9, 10, 11. We will begin promptly at 11:30am.

Day Two: Sunday, April 25th 1:30pm – 5:00pm
Carmichael Gym – Courts 10 & 11
